Barabbas is
one of Ireland's best known and loved theatre companies and the country's
primary exponent of theatre of clown. The company is run by founder
director
Raymond Keane and by General
Manager, Maria Fleming.
The company was established in 1993 and has since then produced over
20 major theatrical works and presented at venues and festivals worldwide
including the Next Wave Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The
Wellington International Festival New Zealand, The Kennedy Centre Washington,
Expo 2000 in Hannover Germany, Dublin Theatre Festival, the Galway Arts
Festival, Greenwich + Docklands International Festival and at venues
throughout Ireland, England, Wales, the US, Denmark and France.
